Group of rocks lying 0.5 mi NE of Canopus Islands in the E part of Holme Bay, Mac. Robertson Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37, and named Spjotoyholmane. Renamed by ANCA for Capt. V. Smith, RAASC, DUKW driver who took part in ANARE changeover operations at Davis and Mawson stations in 1958-59 and 1959-60.
