This name originates from United States of America. It is part of the United States Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Conspicuous rock bluff surmounting the shore in the SW part of Herring Island, in the Windmill Islands. First mapped from air photos taken by USN Operation HighJump and Operation Windmill in 1947 and 1948. Named by the US-ACAN for Danny L. Foster, meteorologist and member of the Wilkes Station party of 1962.
