Low rock at the S side of the entrance to McGrady Cove, Newcomb Bay, on Budd Coast. First mapped from USN Operation HighJump aerial photographs taken in February 1947. Surveyed in February 1957 by a party from the USS Glacier. The name was suggested by Lt. Robert C. Newcomb, USN, navigator of the Glacier, for Engineman 3d Class Frederick A. Collins, USN, a member of the survey party.
